God help His Church…

We have said it a billion times!
Our churches have lost it!
Both the “sane” and “insane” churches
Our people both literate and illiterate have lost it too!
In the name of spirituality…we have all lost it!
We have argued many times
How far church discipline should go
We have argued a billion times
Where the Churches assumed role of “parenting” ends
We have raised it a million times
How church “membership” ought to be defined
And where the church’s “authority” over its “members” ends
We have voiced out a thousand times
How non-ethical our church leaders are operating
How manipulative and cunning they have become
How the main purpose of the Church has shifted
How “secular” our churches have become
How we can no longer differentiate
Church from a Business or Secular Organization, etc
But for fear of being labelled “carnal”
And put in some particular stereotypes
And for how wrongly we have been brainwashed
In interpreting the “touch not my anointed…” scriptures
The “it is God speaking through me” gimmicks
That makes us take every message/direction from the pulpit
Hook, line and sinker!
We ourselves have become unwise and “stupid” followers
How brainwashed we have become
How undiscerning we have become
How dead in our spirits we have become
Because we do not know the Bible for ourselves
Because we fail to realize
Our lives are not sold out to churches to do as they please
Our lives are to be led by Christ and not the Church
Church leading you and Christ leading you…
There’s a whole lot of difference!
The day you know…you will be liberated!

Restoration…

The axe forgets; the tree remembers the scars,

Tomorrow at the scent of Heaven’s rain,

It will sprout again bearing fruits,

Fruits to which you will come to feast,

Forgetting you once cut short a life,

That God did not allow to die.

Opportunities are enticing…

Everything is nothing if you got no one;
Opportunities can be very enticing;
Makes u sometimes wanna sacrifice people;
A loved one for a dream of a lifetime;
Only in the end it stares you in the face;
That everything is nothing if you got no one.

Behind the scenes…

Indeed, so little do we know in life
So completely unaware
Of the workings of His supernatural hands
Behind the scenes He works
Tirelessly for our good
But the finished product only we chose to see
Never His many invisible acts of love
Done behind the scenes
Obviously, it’s always amazing
When His supernatural hands lift a man
From the ashes to a position of glory
From a life full of struggles
To a life full of bubbles
Blessed indeed is that man
Who acknowledges the hand of God
Only not in his rise to a better life
But in his everything
Blessed indeed is he
Who remembers that of his own strength
He could not have prevailed
That of his own accord
He could not have won the fight of life

MY BELOVED – A poem

  1. Our meeting was unplanned yet divine

For the heavens seemed to have approved

And given their bounteous blessings

Cos so quickly did our soul and spirit lock up

Like in a heavenly holy matrimony

How effortlessly our friendship speedily caught fire

Still beats my human imagination

Each day her joy is fulfilled

When she’s close to me

She’s never willing to let herself go

Without sending smiles so captivating

Smiles that always dig deep into my soul

Like a miner digging for gold deep in the earth’s cradle

And like the serenades of a loved one to her lover

Her day never starts without a check call

And never ends without lovely messages or lullabies

Meant to make my bones retire soundly

And whenever I am unreachable

Her heart sinks deep and tumbles

Enveloping her in great worry

All her gifts are carefully selected

And graced with a touch of love to leave eternal memories

In all she treats me like her most treasured jewel

And indeed I am ‘cos I am her best friend

And her best friend is her soul mate

The simple things she does seems so satisfying

That I cannot help but allow myself be enraptured by her love

And I will do everything for her to share that place in my heart

That she may continually leave her indelible footprints

In my heart’s precious store

She makes my life so colourful

And I pray her love lasts beyond my mother’s

And that we will be together for all times

Cos ours is a love so pure

And the destination sure
